Terms of Use

The short version: RivetOS is a research project. Use it at your own risk. We make no guarantees about anything.

RivetOS is open-source software released for research and experimentation. It is provided as-is, with no warranties of any kind — express or implied — and no guarantees about correctness, reliability, availability, security, or fitness for any purpose. It may break, lose data, behave unpredictably, or change without notice.

You run RivetOS on your own infrastructure, with the providers and models you choose and configure. You are responsible for how you deploy it, what you connect it to, what you allow your agents to do, and the consequences of running it. Anything an agent does on your systems — commands it runs, messages it sends, data it touches, money it spends — is yours to supervise and contain.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the authors and contributors are not liable for any damages or losses arising from your use of RivetOS.

RivetOS is distributed under its open-source license — see the repository. Those license terms govern your rights to use, modify, and redistribute the code.

If you’re not comfortable with “use at your own risk,” don’t run it.
